Jared Lakind went 0 for 4 and scored a run in the GCL Pirates's 8-7 loss at the GCL Yankees on Wednesday. Lakind graduated from Cy-Woods High School.

Lakind is a 2010 graduate of Cy-Woods High School. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 23rd round (687th overall) of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft. Lakind signed his first professional contract on Aug. 16, 2010 and began his pro career with the Pirates' rookie team of the Gulf Coast League. Robert Edward Grossman went 1 for 2 with two RBIs, four runs and three walks in the Bradenton Marauders's 12-9 loss to the Palm Beach Cardinals on Wednesday. Grossman graduated from Cy-Fair High School.

Grossman is a 2008 graduate of Cy-Fair High School and a sixth-round selection (174th overall) of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2008 Major League Baseball draft. He played in five games during 2008 for the Pirates' rookie team in the Gulf Coast League before playing his first full pro season in 2009 with West Virginia of the South Atlantic League (single-A). Grossman appeared in 116 games for West Virginia batting .266 with five home runs and 42 RBIs to go along with 35 stolen bases. Jeff Austin Mandel pitched one inning, striking out two and allowing one earned run Wednesday in the Syracuse Chiefs's 7-3 loss to the Indianapolis Indians. Mandel graduated from Jersey Village High School.

Mandel is a 2003 graduate of Jersey Village High School before playing four seasons (2004 to 2007) with Baylor University. Mandel logged a career mark of 14-11 and eight saves with the Bears in 72 appearances 25 of which were starts. Mandel had a career college ERA of 3.78 and fanned 151 hitters. Following his senior season Mandel was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 19th round (580th overall of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft. He was born April 30 1985 in Houston. Lasalle Deloach was released from custody, according to the Harris County Sheriff‘s Office. Deloach is listed as living at 8750 Point Park in Houston (77095). Bond for Mr. Deloach was set at $1,500. He was reportedly arrested on June 30, 2011 on one charge of assault of a family member. Read more...
