College Baseball: Chris Fritts, University of Tennessee

Chris Fritts went 1 for 4 with one RBI in University of Tennessee's 12-5 loss at Auburn on Thursday. Fritts graduated from Cy-Ridge High School in 2010.

Fritts is a 2009 graduate of Cy-Ridge High School where he holds the career records for batting average, home runs and RBIs. He was a four-year letter winner and three-time All-District selection. Fritts was rated at the 63th overall prospect in Texas by PGCrossChecker.com during his senior season (2008-2009) when he batted .547 with four home runs, 25 RBIs and 12 stolen bases. That year he was selected twice as player of the week by the Houston Chronicle while also being named a Houston Area Baseball Coaches Association All-Star in addition to being selected All-Area Greater Houston by ESPN Rise Magazine. Pro Baseball: Clinton Charles Everts, New Hampshire Fisher Cats

Clinton Charles Everts pitched one inning, striking out two and allowing no earned runs Thursday in the New Hampshire Fisher Cats's 2-1 loss to the Trenton Thunder. Everts graduated from Cy Falls High School.

Everts is a 2002 graduate of Cy-Falls where he was a first-team high school all-American as a pitcher during his senior season, 2002. The Montreal Expos made him the fifth overall pick of the 2002 Major League Baseball, and Everts signed his first professional contract on Aug. 24, 2002. He spent the next six seasons (2003 to 2009) in the minor league system of the Expos/Washington Nationals advancing as high as Triple-A Syracuse in 2009. Everts had a career 32-39 record over 191 outings for eight different teams in the Montreal/Washington system before signing as a minor league free agent with the New York Mets prior to 2010. Jake Wise went 2 for 3 and scored a run in University of Arkansas's 3-2 loss at University of Florida on Thursday. Wise graduated from Cy Falls High School in 2010.

Wise was a three-year letter winner at Cy-Falls High School graduating in 2010. As a senior, 2009-2010, he batted .504 with 11 home runs and 52 RBIs to earn first-team all-district and all-greater Houston honors. During his junior year, 2008-2009, Wise hit .403 with seven home runs and 25 RBIs. He was named to the all-district team and selected as hitter of the week by Houston 5A Baseball. After his sophomore campaign, 2007-2008, Wise earned honorable mention all-district recognition, and as a freshman, 2006-2007, he helped the Cy-Falls junior varsity team to an undefeated season.
