Cypress Ranch Key Club earns volunteer service award

Fifty-one Cypress Ranch Key Club members, a parent and a faculty advisor received President's Volunteer Service Awards for service in 2011.

The award is issued by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation and recognizes exceptional volunteer work. The 53 Cypress Ranch award recipients combined for nearly 7,000 hours of community service in 2011.

There are four levels of recognition, gold, silver and bronze, and four categories varying by age and participation level.

Gold Award recipients include: Sara Gates, Christina Gibson, Molly Godinich, Devon Grady, Rachel Hilburn, Sean Christopher Hudson, Kaylie Maguire, Alan Mendoza, Nicole Miller, Abby Mohr, Kelli Mosher, Sarah Parton, Michael Verastegui and Key Club parent Patricia Hudson.

Silver award recipients include: Jessica Bradley, Melissa Burket, Ashley Hernandez, Al Hirani, Elizabeth Hoffman, Marisa Kelly, Madison McEwen, Phoebe O’Keeffe, Samantha Routh, Meredith Seaver and David Verastegui.

Bronze award recipients include: Corrie Andrews, Kelly Boucher, Anna Carman, Sarah Fairweather, Jordan Fraase, Blake Godinich, Akanksha Goel, Courtney Golladay, Mackenzie Golladay, Christopher Gracia, Melissa Hall, Kourtni Hatton, Courtney Herring, Kelsea Howe, Megan Iselin, Kristen Kech, Mikaela Kufrovich, Madeleine Lewin, Cynthia Lukman, Clayton Marshall, Cleighton Marshall, Hailey Munn, Swetha Raj, Sydney Sudtlegte, Zoe Tao, Rebecca Torres, Tiffany Valdez and Faculty Advisor Jennifer Hydes.

Awards were distributed at the club's Installation and Awards Banquet held April 19. Recipients received a personalized certificate and a congratulatory letter from President Barack Obama.
