Cypress-Tomball Democrats gather for holiday party
published Dec. 24, 2010
Local Democrats recently convened to celebrate the holidays.
Cypress resident Claire McGowin recently hosted a holiday social and food drive for Cypress-Tomball Democrats.
Attendees brought jars of peanut butter to the party for the benefit of the Cypress Area Ministries Food Pantry.
According to the press release, Olga Moya, co-chair, said, "Santa didn't bring our wishes for the election, but he did bring us new Democratic friends in our community! The club continues to celebrate the knowledge that we are not alone."
This newly established club invites all Democrats to join it on the third Wednesday of every month.
Its next meeting will feature speaker Pamela Wells, Associate Superintendent for Facilities, Planning and Community Relations of the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District.
It will be held on Jan. 19, 2011, starting at 6:30 p.m., at Luigi's Restaurant, 12779 Jones Road.
