Home invasion on Pearsall stuns residents
According to a story by the Chronicle's Shaminder Dulai, residents in the neighborhood where a home invasion took place on Monday were stunned when they heard about the crime.
From the article:
In this neighborhood, I wasn't expecting to be looking for a getaway car. I was expecting kids with toilet paper or something more mundane like that," said Andy Maas, who has lived in the upper-middle-class neighborhood for four years. We just don't have these sorts of things here."
Five masked gunmen rushed into a home in the 9500 block of Pearsall, just north of Jersey Village, and tied up three family members, according to investigators. The homeowner's 17-year-old daughter was upstairs and hid before calling 911, investigators said.
