Golf classic raises money for scholarships

From a press release:
The Cy-Fair Educational Foundation will hold fast to its successful tradition of playing the greens to raise "green" for student scholarships at the 2010 B.F. Adam Classic, a 4-person Scramble Golf Tournament, on Thursday May 20th at the BlackHorse Golf Club, 12205 Fry Road in Cypress.
The tournament was named after B.F. (Bernard Fred) Adam, a lifelong Cy-Fair resident and a devoted school board member, serving 24 years on the board. B.F. Adam Elementary on Honey Grove Lane is named in his honor.
The golf tournament has always garnered great support from the community, and successfully raised $1.4 million for student scholarships since inception.
The tournament will include a steak dinner, awards ceremony and silent and live auctions. People who are familiar with the tournament know to sign up early, as it is one of the largest non-celebrity charity golf tournaments in Houston, and has been a sell out every year.
Your involvement will enable the Foundation to help finance the higher education costs of promising young students. CFEF is celebrating 40 years of giving to the students and teachers of Cypress-Fairbanks ISD.
