Cy-Fair clinic closed in prescription drug probe

According to a story by Chronicle reporter Cindy Horswell, a pain clinic in Cy-Fair was shut down after investigators linked it to owners and a doctor who are being investigated for illegally distributing prescription drugs.
The clinic, Texas Medicine Direct, formerly S&G Clinic, is located at 9110 Jones Road in Houston. Investigators also shut down Uptown Medical Clinic at 7231 FM 1960 in Humble.

Dr. Christina Clardy, who lives in a $2 million house in West University, has been charged with engaging in organized crime, accused of operating two business that catered to drug dealers and abusers and dealt only in cash. Four others have also been charged.
