Ogwumike shares Parade player of year award
The Chronicle's Jenny Dial is reporting that Cy-Fair High School girls basketball player Chiney Ogwumike has been named the Co-Player of the Year award by Parade Magazine.
From the story:
Ogwumike, who averaged 23 points and 9.5 rebounds this season, led the Bobcats to a Class 5A State championship this season. The Stanford-bound 6-3 post went to the state tournament the past four seasons and won two titles.
Ogwumike shares the award with Chelsea Gray of St. Mary's High School in Stockton, Calif.
