The Suspense is Over...Sniff, Sniff
Update (late Wednesday night): Our Cy-Fair Idol Paige Miles may have left the American Idol stage tonight, but it is not the final note for her!
Paige: Our collective Cy-Fair community heart goes out to you tonight. We cannot imagine the mixture of feelings you are experiencing now, but please know that you have an entire (large) community that feels such great pride that you live and work amongst us.
What guts you showed just in auditioning for the show! And the fact that you made it to the "Top 11" out of the "Top 24" is a feat in itself!
Keep on living your dream, girl, because you've got what it takes!

I particularly like these postings: VOTE till ur fingers fall off now" finger cramping" and I called 100 times and texted 1114 times... Come on Paige! I want to see you on tour - it's been too long since I've heard you sing live!"

Recap: Paige was one of the American Idol Top 11 who performed live Tuesday night. She sang "Against All Odds" by Phil Collins.
She hasn't gotten rave reviews for her performance (based on Internet article and even her Facebook page) but people are really rooting for her.
I get the feeling that many believe they haven't seen what she REALLY can do. They haven't seen the stunning break-out performance and they are hoping, hoping, hoping that she makes it to the Top 10" and has a chance to show the world what she can do!
There was a posting on a Paige blog" last week that ranted about the fact that there is little to no mention of Paige's Houston ties on the American Idol web page. I agree. However, I watched the videos posted there and Paige definitely talks about it.
I was also interested and surprised to learn that she is hooked on the equestrian life! If she did not or could not sing, she would like to be an equestrian/horseback rider; and the most unique" job she has ever had was shoveling horse manure in exchange for riding lessons!
I also shocked to read that she has never had any formal voice training!
My standard Idol Paige" background paragraph: Paige Miles, 24, is a Florida native, she lives and works in Cypress. She came to our great community after graduating high school six years ago. She lives in Fairfield and, before following her dream to Hollywood, worked in a before- and after-school care program at Shepherd United Methodist Church.
