Ridge hopes to go over the Falls

The Cy Falls Golden Eagles will try and stay right in the thick of the District 15-5A title chase when they host the Cy Ridge Rams in a key conference clash at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Cy-Fair, which has won or shared the district title each of the last five years, and Cy Woods are predicted to battle for the district title, but Langham Creek, Cy Falls, Cy Ridge and Cy Creek should fight it out for the league's final two playoff spots.
Cy Falls beat Cy Lakes in its district opener 8-4, lost to Cy Woods 4-0 in its second district contest, then bounced back to knock off Cy Creek 5-4 to improve to 13-2 on the season.
Cy Ridge beat Jersey Village 11-5 and Cy Lakes 11-2 while losing to Cy Ranch 4-2 in its first three league games.

TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
Cy Ridge: The Rams showed they are for real by jumping out of the gate with two wins in their first three district games. Cy Ridge hit a stretch when it scored 10 runs or more in five of seven games. They won five of the seven contests, including two district games. Cody Guajardo has been clutch on the mound (1.13 ERA) and at the plate (.370 average, two home runs).
Cy Falls: Besides winning two of their first three district games, the Golden Eagles own impressive wins over Spring (9-1), Deer Park (7-5) and Stratford (3-1). The Golden Eagles have a long history of good pitching and this year is no exception. Cy Falls has allowed one run or less five times in its first 13 games of the year.
