Help Cypress Cares get a $25,000 grant

You must hurry and vote!
Our Cy-Fair-based Cypress Cares organization is now 29th in the competition to receive a $25,000 Pepsi Refresh Everything" grant, but needs to be in the top ten to get it!
There are hundreds of organizations competing so we need to get behind our Cypress Cares and vote once a day (reminiscent of American Idol, anyone? Anyone?)
I just voted and it is very simple. Go to www.refresheverything.com/cypresscares and click on the Vote for This Idea" tab once a day until April 30.
If a grant winner, Cypress Cares will use the funds to pay for shipping costs for 2,000 care packages for U.S. troops. That is more than an entire year's worth of care package shipping costs.
Cypress Cares was launched by Cy-Fair resident Raquel Cunningham, a prior-service US Army Reserves officer, who two years ago started sending care packages from her home to a friend who was serving in Afghanistan. The organization now has 300 volunteers who meet eight times a year to assemble and send out care packages to troops fighting overseas.
The grant won't pay for the donated items for the care packages snack foods, dried fruit, canned fruit, trail mix, hygiene projects, books, CDs, games so Cypress Cares still needs those donations as well as volunteers.
If you need a daily reminder to vote, make it easy on yourself and send a reminder request to Raquel@Cypress-Cares.org. She will be happy to send out that reminder every day!!!
