Cy Lakes out to ground Falcons

The Jersey Village Falcons will try and keep alive their playoff hopes when they travel to meet Cy Lakes at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Jersey Village remained in the postseason hunt with last week's thrilling 8-7 win over Cy Falls and 13-9 victory over Langham Creek.
The two wins moved the Falcons to 5-6 in district play, tied with Cy Creek for fifth in the league standings, one game behind Cy Ridge (6-5). The top four teams will advance to the playoffs.
Cy Lakes beat Jersey Village 15-12 the first time the two teams met, but has slumped to 3-8 in district play.

At stake: A playoff spot. Jersey Village is tied with Cy Creek for fifth in the league standings at 5-6, one game back of fourth-place Cy Ridge. Cy Ranch is another game back at 4-7 and Langham Creek and Cy Lakes are two games behind at 3-8.

TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
Jersey Village: If the Falcons can win their final three district games, they could have a shot to overtake Cy Ridge for the fourth-and-final playoff spot. After Cy Lakes, Jersey Village ends the season with Cy Creek and Cy Springs. The Falcons beat Cy Creek 5-3 and Cy Springs 11-8 earlier in the season. Garrett Gorka, Matthew Moore and Alex Lator all had two hits in last week's victory over Cy Falls.
Cy Lakes: Cy Lakes is only 3-8 in district play, but it scared the daylights out of district-leading Cy-Fair before falling 12-11, and almost beat Cy Falls (2-1) and Cy Ranch (1-0) in two other district games. Armando Gutierrez has proved to be a very good starter as he earned the win in last week's 6-0 victory over Cy Springs.
