Cy-Fair ISD names new elementary principals

From a Cy-Fair ISD press release:
Kelly Dalton, an assistant principal at Holbrook Elementary School, was named the new principal at Danish Elementary School for 2010-2011. Dalton replaces Sandy Oliver, who will retire in June.
Dalton has 20 years of educational experience, all within Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. Her career began with one year as a teacher at Owens Elementary School and eight years as a teacher at Hairgrove Elementary School. She then transferred to Reed Elementary School, serving eight years as an assistant principal before accepting her current position at Holbrook in the 2007-2008 school year.
Dalton received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Lamar University and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston. In addition to Principal certification, she is certified in Elementary Self-Contained, Elementary Reading and English as a Second Language.
"I have been fortunate to work with so many wonderful professionals in Cy-Fair and I am humbled by this opportunity. I am honored to be the new principal at Danish Elementary," Dalton said. "The school has established a rich tradition of excellence since its opening. I am looking forward to meeting and working with all of the parents, staff and students to continue this tradition."
CFISD has also announced that Tonya Goree, an assistant principal at Tipps Elementary School, will be the new principal for Lee Elementary School for the 2010-2011 school year. Goree replaces Barbara Fine, who will retire in June.
Goree has 19 years of experience in classroom and administrative education. Her career began with nine years as a teacher and two years as an instructional specialist in Fort Bend ISD. She then accepted an assistant principal position at Hill Intermediate School in Aldine ISD, working there eight years before joining the CFISD family as the assistant principal at Tipps in 2009-2010.
Goree received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Lamar University and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University. Her certifications include Elementary Self-Contained (1-8), Elementary Math (1-8) and Principal (EC-12).
"Being selected as principal of Lee Elementary is truly humbling," Goree said. "I am honored and look forward with great anticipation as well as excitement to working with the students, parents, community and staff of Lee as we continue the journey of academic excellence. I am grateful to the CFISD administrative team for this opportunity and to Pam Redd, principal of Tipps Elementary, for all of her support and mentoring this past school year."
