15 students qualify for state academic meet
From a Cy-Fair ISD press release:
Fifteen CFISD individual students and six teams qualified for the UIL State Academic Meet after placing in the top three in 17 events at the Region II meet last weekend at Baylor University in Waco.
Cypress Woods High School finished with the highest overall point total in the region with 149.33, while Cypress Creek High School had the eighth-highest total with 73 points.
The following students qualified for state, which is scheduled for May 6-8 at the University of Texas:

Additionally, Cypress Woods juniors Cecilia Hoeft and Rachel Perez were selected by the state to serve as members of the UIL One Act Play State Honor Crew, comprised of a 40-person group of Texas students who will serve as the front-of-house and backstage crew for 4A and 5A State One-Act Play competitions. Selection onto the crew is highly competitive with emphasis on academic and theatrical achievements. Representatives are selected from all regions and conferences throughout the state of Texas.
