Pedestrian killed on Texas 6 ID'd as Va. man

The Harris County Sheriff's Office has identified the pedestrian who died early Saturday morning after being struck by two cars on North Texas 6.
Daniel Cornell, 49, of Fairfax, Va., was on foot northbound in the inside lane of the 9100 block of the state highway about 1 a.m. Saturday when he was hit by a Corvette from behind, forcing him over the vehicle and falling to the ground. A second northbound vehicle struck Cornell, but failed to stop and render aid, officials said. Cornell died at the scene.
