Chamber helps celebrate new Whataburger

Whataburger will celebrate the grand opening of its newest restaurant, located in northwest Houston in Katy, at the northwest corner of N. Fry Road and Coldfield Drive, on Thursday, June 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. The restaurant brings nearly 50 new jobs to the city and opened on May 1.
Grand opening plans include food and prize giveaways, buy one get one free Whataburgers and Games2U mobile gaming unit in the parking lot. Other festivities include a live remote broadcast with local radio station KILT 100.3, a chance to register to win free Whataburger for a year and a treasure chest with station prizes like pens, koozies and key chains.
The morning festivities will begin with a ribbon cutting at the restaurant at 9 a.m. complete with a thank you address from the Dobson family.
We have a long history in Houston and Katy, and are excited to open this new location to serve our north Katy customers more conveniently. They've already shown us a warm welcome," said Mark Brown, Whataburger Restaurants, LP Regional Director of Operations. We thank KILT 100.3 and the Cy-Fair Chamber of Commerce for their support as well and we look forward to serving custom, made-to-order Whataburgers to customers for years to come."
Construction of the new Whataburger was completed in about three months, and opened for business on May 1. The new restaurant seats about 96 customers in the dining room.
