Aragon celebrates No Place For Hate status
From a Cy-Fair ISD press release:
Aragon Middle School celebrated its first-year status as a No Place for Hate (NPFH) campus with a banner presentation at the school on Wednesday, June 2.
The Anti-Defamation League recognizes NPFH campuses that incorporate anti-bias and diversity education as an integral part of the school curriculum.
Aragon participated in several activities in order to become a NPFH campus. Some activities included: introducing the program with a student-created video; signing a "Resolution of Respect;" participating in "Random Acts of Kindness Week;" making a diversity quilt that will be displayed at the school; and introducing "No bullying/cyber bullying" lessons.
"I am so proud of the Aragon committee and students who worked together to become a No Place for Hate campus," said Aragon counselor Sage Papaioannou, the school's NPFH sponsor. "I want to thank my committee and the Aragon staff for working so hard and implementing the great activities."
