The Park hosts food and wine tasting June 25

Sam Houston Race Park (www.shrp.com) and Constellation Wines (www.cbrands.com) will host a mid summer's night celebration of wine and food in the Winner's Circle Restaurant on Friday, June 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. The event will include (4) 4 oz wine tastings from Wild Horse, Clos Du Bois and Blackstone featuring Sonoma Merlot, Russian River Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sonoma Reserve Cabernet tastings along with food pairings from The Park's Executive Chef Hugo Gomez.
The evening will feature a Q&A session with Constellation Wine experts regarding the wine selections and Executive Chef Hugo Gomez regarding the featured menu as well as other food options for pairings. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to participate in casual wagering education sessions throughout the evening to learn more about the basics of placing Win, Place & Show wagers, reading the live racing program and understanding the basics of live racing. The Park will hold live Quarter Horse racing events with first post at 7 p.m.
Ticket packages for the Constellation Wine Event are $39 per person and include general admission, valet parking, live racing program, reserved seating in the Winner's Circle Restaurant, buffet and wine pairings.
