The Cypress Ridge High School Air Force Junior ROTC met with U.S. Sen. John Cornyn of Texas during its recent trip to Washington, D.C., May 15-18.
Seven cadets joined science aerospace instructors Lt. Col. Porfirio Muoz and M.Sgt. Merel Mills on the four-day trip, named Curriculum in Action, which reinforces aerospace and leadership education principles to cadets through trips.
The cadets visited the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, White House, US Capitol, WWII Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Smithsonian Air/Space Museum, Natural History Museum and Arlington National Cemetery.
