Summer schedule of events for HFAC

From a press release:
The Houston Family Arts Center produces a number of youth, teen, and mainstage shows every year. HFAC has two different stages the HFAC Studio Stage and the HFAC Garza Mainstage, both located at 10760 Grant Road.
Here is HFAC's summer schedule of shows:
Abracadabra Aladdin!: June 23-26, 2010 (Youth)
This fairy tale adaptation is full of adventurous fun and engaging music. In this show, you'll meet not one, but three genies, as well as the whimpering "Ali Bubba," and the hen-pecked sultan and his haughty wife. HFAC Actors Academy youth summer camp performances on the HFAC Studio Stage all tickets $5. For show times and tickets visit www.houstonfac.com or call 281-685-6374.
WEST SIDE STORY: June 25 July 11, 2010 (Mainstage)
Created by perhaps the greatest collaborative team in musical theatre history, Jerome Robbins' landmark adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet features a sweeping and intensely romantic score by Leonard Bernstein, witty and moving lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a powerful book by Arthur Laurents and has touched countless audiences for over fifty years. HFAC Mainstage production on the HFAC Garza Mainstage tickets $12-$16. For show times and tickets visit www.houstonfac.com or call 281-685-6374.
Kung Fu Kitty: July 21-24, 2010 (Youth)
Everybody is kung fu fighting like cats and dogs in this hilarious, action-packed slapstick comedy. Fur (and puns) fly when feisty kitten Princess escapes the clutches of the sinister, catnapping Ting Tang and his hysterical henchcats. With the help of the punchy pooches, Princess faces her fears and finds inner strength to defeat (and declaw) her adversary. HFAC Actors Academy youth summer camp performances on the HFAC Studio Stage all tickets $5. For show times and tickets visit www.houstonfac.com or call 281-685-6374.
WEST MOON STREET: July 30 - August 15, 2010 (Mainstage)
If you like The Importance of Being Earnest, you'll LOVE West Moon Street! Young Lord Arthur is deliriously happy and engaged to the lovely Sybil. When a palmist at Lady Windemere's party predicts that he will commit a murder, he reluctantly feels it is his Duty as a gentleman to carry out "the killing business" before his nuptials, with hilarious results! HFAC Mainstage production on the HFAC Garza Mainstage tickets $12-$16. For show times and tickets visit www.houstonfac.com or call 281-685-6374.
Hansel and Gretel: August 11-14, 2010 (Youth)
This is a sweet and charming musical adaptation of a favorite fairy tale. Sent into the woods, Hansel and Gretel meet up with a number of peculiar characters. A fiery troll guards his little wooden bridge. Even more, an articulate owl, a forest sprite and two hobgoblins are in the service of an evil (but extremely funny) witch who lives in a candy-coated little cottage. Everyone will cheer Gretel as she outwits the crone and sets free all the children who have been turned into gingerbread cookies! HFAC Actors Academy youth summer camp performances on the HFAC Studio Stage all tickets $5. For show times and tickets visit www.houstonfac.com or call 281-685-6374.
12 Angry Jurors: August 19-22, 2010 (Teen Actors Guild)
This drama is a gripping and penetrating examination of a diverse group of twelve jurors who are uncomfortably brought together to deliberate after hearing the 'facts' in a seemingly open-and-shut murder trial case. They retire to a jury room to do their civic duty and serve up a just verdict for the indigent minority defendant (with a criminal record) whose life is in the balance. HFAC Teen Actors Guild workshop production on the HFAC Studio Stage all tickets $10. For show times and tickets visit www.houstonfac.com or call 281-685-6374.
