Majewski, Ketchum to lead #6 Aggies in Portland Friday night
Cy-Fair grads and Cypress natives Nichole Ketchum and Megan Majewski will lead their Texas A&M Women's Soccer team against the Portland Pilots in Portland, Oregon Friday night at 9:00 p.m.
The Aggies are ranked #6 in the nation with a 6-1 record, recording their only loss to the unanimous #1 team North Carolina. Portland is ranked #3 with a perfect 8-0 record.
Last year, Texas A&M gave the Pilots their only regular-season loss, winning 3-1 at College Station.
As a high school midfielder, Ketchum was a five-year member of the South Texas State ODP team, and a four-year member of the Region lll Olympic Development Program (ODP) team from 2003-2005. She also participated on the STYSA Olympic Development State Team from 2001-2005.
Megan Majewski will also try to help the Aggies topple the undefeated Pilots. A four-year starter at Cy-Fair High School, Majewski earned second team all-district honors each season despite missing over half of the district season due to an overlapping basketball season.
She was also a four-time member of Olympic Development Program State Pool.
