Cypress native finished combat training at Fort Sill
A Cypress woman has completed her basic military training this week at Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Army Pvt. Carolyn Hayward completed the nine-week Basic Combat Training program, which included training in military discipline, rifle marksmanship and field maneuver tactics.
Hayward is the daughter of Robert Hayward of Paxton Point Lane in Houston and the granddaughter of Mildred Hayward of Chicopee, Massachusetts.
