Senior Draudt likes look of son's Cy Woods

Cy Falls head basketball coach Jim Draudt has accomplished a lot of things in more than 30 years of coaching high school basketball.
But he is still looking for that elusive win over his son, Cy Woods head coach Chris Draudt.
It is always fun when we get together,'' Jim Draudt said. It would be even more fun if he would let me win every now and then.''
This year, Jim Draudt's Golden Eagles lost to Cy Woods in the Conroe Christmas Classic and last week dropped a 61-53 decision to Cy Woods in District 15-5A play.
The two teams are scheduled to meet for the third time on Feb. 9.
Cy Woods has a good team again this year,'' Jim Draudt said. I don't know if they are quite as deep as they were last year, but they have a lot of talent.''
Cy Woods and Cy Falls both are projected to make the playoffs in the 10-team district, which is now divided into two zones.
The other playoff favorites are Langham Creek, Cy Springs, Cy-Fair and Cy Creek. Langham Creek and Cy Springs also are in the same zone with Cy Falls.
Cy Woods is led by point guard Andre Adams, who is averaging 17 points per game, and 6-foot-4 wing DeMarco Richardson, who had 16 points in last week's win over Cy Falls.
On Friday, Cy Woods will host Cy Ranch and Cy Falls will host Cy Springs. Both games will start at 7 p.m.
