Cy-Fair Hospital receives award for Breast Imaging Center

Recently, the Women’s Imaging Center at Cypress earned the Breast Imaging Center of Excellence title from the American College of Radiology (ACR). 

Including Cy-Fair, there are only seven Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence in Houston.  

To receive this accreditation, the Women’s Imaging Center allowed the ARC to review its performance in accordance with national standards for patient care.  

According to the press release, accreditation is determined by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who evaluate the facility’s standards in image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment and quality control procedures.     

The ACR, a national organization with more than 32,000 members, represents radiologists, oncologists, and physicians, specializing in medical imaging and radiation oncology.
