Cypress woman sued after allegedly running red light
A Cypress woman is being sued after she allegedly ran a red light and ran into a man and his son.
In a suit filed Sept. 23 in the Harris County District Court, William C. Robinson, Sr., claims Mary Jayne McGinnis, of Cypress, ran the red light at the intersection of the North Sam Houston Parkway West.
According to the suit, McGinnis was driving her 2010 Lincoln MKT near the 10600 block of Fairbanks North Houston Road. Robinson claims he was driving east on the North Sam Houston Parkway feeder road.
He alleges McGinnis ran the light, crashing into his vehicle, which had his son aboard.
The suit claims McGinnis failed to timely apply her brakes, observe traffic signales and operate her car in an attentive manner.
Robinson is seeking compensatory damages for the injuries he and his son allegedly sustained, in addition to compensation for mental anguish and lost wages.
He is being represented by Houston attorney Thomas F. Bickham, Jr.
