Houston Cougars youth league holding open tryouts

The Houston Cougars Basketball Club is holding open tryouts in Cypress on four consecutive Sundays, beginning on Oct. 3.

The tryouts will take place from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m., at the Texas Tornados Training Facility, located at 8835 Wheatcross Drive in Houston. Divisions in the league are for those ages 8 to 16, as of Dec. 1, 2010. Registration for the league is $20.

All practices will be held at Texas Tornados Training Facility on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
