Cy-Fair resident accuses neighbor of not paying for hurricane repairs
A Memorial resident is suing a Cy-Fair resident over a disputed lien stemming from damage and clean up after Hurricane Ike.
Ruth Stimley, of Memorial, sustained severe damage to her home located at 8027 Albin Lane during Hurricane Ike. While attempting to get the damage to her home repaired, Loretter Brock, of Cy-Fair, offered assistance to Stimley in getting the repairs complete.
Stimley, the plaintiff, contends that she paid Brock, the defendant, in full for the repairs, but Brock filed a lien on the plaintiff’s property after claiming non-payment.
Stimley seeks to have the lien rendered void by the Harris County District 133 Court.
