Cy-Creek's Fleming catches first TD pass
2007 Cy-Creek HS grad Patrick Fleming grabbed the first touchdown pass of his career for SMU in its 42-31 win over Rice on Saturday.
Fleming’s 7-yard TD catch was his only reception of the game.
Fleming started his career at SMU as a tight end, but was then moved to the defensive side of the ball for two seasons. This year is his first year back as a receiver.
As a Cy-Creek senior, Fleming caught 43 passes for 630 yards and nine TDs. He averaged 14.7 yards per catch, ranking in the top 10 among Houston-area receivers. He was a two-star Rivals.com and Scout.com prospect.
