Company sues, wants manufacturer to honor rebates

A Cy-Fair company is suing a manufacturing company after it allegedly refused to honor a rebate agreement.

House of Power, a business electrical contracting company, filed suit in Harris County District Court on Sept. 30, claiming Square D interfered with its ability to conduct business by terminating a third party’s ability to distribute Square D products to them.

Because it could not use Square D products, House of Power was unable to rely on the rebate agreement, which resulted in higher bids for electrical work, the suit claims.

In its suit, House of Power alleges that its business suffered financial losses when Square D intentionally withdrew the rebate agreement.

It is the responsibility of Square D, House of Power claims, to honor the agreements and conduct business fairly.

House of Power is being represented by Sugar Land attorney Dean A. Hjrbacek.  They are seeking actual damages and court costs.
