Deputy's son shoots one of two intruders
According to a Chronicle story by Mike Glenn, the son of a Harris County deputy shot at two burglars who broke into the family's house yesterday, injuring one.
The boy, 15, was at home with his sister, 12, when the two heard glass breaking in the downstairs of their home in the 12500 block of Royal Court Place. The boy went downstairs with his father's automatic rifle and opened fire on the two men he found there, who fled the scene.
Police were tipped off to the identity of the suspected burglars after a man showed up at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital with several gunshot wounds.
