Cypress man's invention makes "Dr. Toy" list
A Cypress inventor has made the prestigious Dr. Toys' 100 Best Childrens Products of 2010 list.
Brad Bortz is the creator of the Stickey Cup, which is specially configured to securely mount to most non-porous surfaces, with or without water.
The idea came to Bortz one evening when his son was pouring milk into a glass on the counter, from a gallon jug. The milk spilled, and a light went on over Bortz head. That night he created a prototype.
Dr. Toy chose the product because it works well for moms with small children, kids, the elderly and many others. The product was put in Dr. Toys Socially Responsible Products category.
Dr. Toys yearly guide features information about l00 new toys and products from large and small companies.
