Bobcats battle the Panthers Friday
The Cy Springs panthers (0-5) host the Cy Fair Bobcats (3-2) in district action Friday night.
The Panthers fell to Cy Falls 51-21 last week and have been outscored by opponents 206 to 91. Cy Springs is led by running back Babatunde Leshi who has rushed for 420 yards and five scores. Leshi is averaging 12.73 yards per carry. Defensively, the Panthers are led by Josh Woodard who is averaging 12.8 tackles per game.
Cy Fair lost 31-17 to Cy Ridge last week and have been outscored by opponents 126 to 110. Cy fair quarterback Chris Mangram has 589 passing yards and three of his receivers, Drew May, Sean Irwin, and Christian Cook have over 100 yards receiving each for the Bobcats. Running back John Jacob leads the team with four touchdowns.
Kickoff is set for 7 pm at The Berry Center.
