Cy Ridge hosts Cy Ranch in district showdown Friday
The Cy Ridge Rams (3-2) host the Cy Ranch Mustangs (4-1) in district football play Friday night.
The Rams defeated Cy Fair 31-17 last week for their third consecutive victory. Cy Ridge is led by quarterback Andrew Gonzales who has passed for 598 yards and six scores while not having thrown an interception all season. Running back Casper Isaac leads the Rams with 273 rushing yards while teammate Renderick Childs five rushing scores leads the team. Isaac also leads the team in receiving yards with 135.
Cy Ranch suffered their first loss of the season last week 42-13 to Cy Creek. The Mustangs are led by running back Keith ford who has a combined 811 yards and eight touchdowns. Quarterback justin Monsour has thrown for 435 yards and five scores. Monsour's top targets are DeAndre Liggins and Ford who have combined for 228 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Kickoff is set for 7 pm at Pridgeon Stadium.
