Cy-Woods shuts out Cy-Lakes in district action Thursday night
The Cypress Woods Wildcats (3-3) shut out the Cypress Lakes Spartans (0-6) 34-0 Friday night at Pridgeon Stadium.
The Wildcats' Frederick Anderson and Gabriel West both scored two touchdowns. Anderson finished with a remarkable 27.8 yards per carry average and 139 rushing yards while West combined for 112 total yards of offense. Jeff Bogans had two receptions and a 13-yard first quarter score thrown by quarterback Colton huntsman that put Woods up 14-0.
The winless Spartans couldn't do anything offensively. The offense only put up 201 total yards compared to Katy's 446. Quarterback Colton Huntsman was pressured all night and threw three interceptions.
Woods travels to Langham Creek next Friday while Lakes visits Creek next Saturday.
