Driver sues bus company after Fannin Street crash
A Cy-Fair driver is suing a bus company, alleging that one of its drivers hit her car and caused her serious injury.
Sherah Juarez filed a lawsuit on Oct. 7 in the Harris County District Court against Metropolitan Transit Authority, claiming negligence.
The plaintiff claims that on Nov. 23, 2009, she was driving South on Fannin Street near the intersection of Fannin and Holly Hall, when a bus hit her car while she was waiting for a red light. The impact, she claims, caused her serious injury.
The plaintiff is seeking damages including actual damages, medical costs, physical pain and mental anguish in the past and future, court costs and any other damages she is entitled to by the court. She has also requested a trial by jury.
Juarez is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Richard K. Oliver.
