Pedestrian claims he was hit by drunk driver

A man is suing after he claims he was hit by a drunk driver while crossing the street.

Troy Platz filed suit in Harris County District Court on Oct. 6, claiming Jeffrey Weimer, of Cy-Fair, struck him while attempting to cross the street on Highway 6 North.

Plats claims Weimer was driving drunk at the time.

In his suit, Platz alleges he was seriously injured as a result of Weimer's negligent and reckless driving.

It was the responsibility of Weimer, he claims, to follow traffic laws and operate his car responsibly.

Platz is being represented by Houston attorney Terry Bryant.

He is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, as well as court costs.
