Woman seeks $158,000 in car accident suit

A Cypress woman is suing a Texas-based company and an Austin man for injuries she allegedly suffered in an automobile accident.

Debbi Lynn Baker filed suit against Foxconn Electronics Inc. and John Jingdong Cao in Harris County District Court on Oct. 7.

In the suit, Baker claims that on Oct. 8, 2008 at 9 a.m., she was driving a 1990 Chevy Suburban on Lakewood Forest Drive toward Grant Road when Cao pulled from a parking lot at 11800 Grant Road, turned left onto Lakewood Forest Drive, did not yield the right of way and collided with Baker's vehicle.

Baker says that the accident caused neck, shoulder and lower back injuries, and that she was forced to undergo extensive medical treatment.

Baker is being represented by Houston attorney Alex Lieber-Alessie. Paul Gomez was named in the suit because he allegedly owns the car that struck Guerrero.

The plaintiff is seeking $18,082.25 in medical expenses, $5,000 in anticipated future medical costs, a minimum of $65,000 for past and future physical pain, at least $35,000 for past and future physical impairment, and a minimum of $35,000 for past and future mental anguish as well as attorney's fees and court costs.
