Cy-Fair ISD offers volunteering opportunities
The organization VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools) in the Cy-Fair ISD has a number of opportunities for volunteering in the months ahead with its iVolunteer program.
On Nov. 2, the first grade class series, Sooper Puppy will take place from 9:30 a.m. until noon at the Berry Center, providing age appropriate life lessons and arriving at solutions by making good choices.
On Nov. 10, Galveston Bay Training will be held from 9:30 a.m. until noon at the Berry Center. The training is open to all CFISD school staff, volunteers, and parents and will provide TEKS based science lessons to 4th grade students.
On Nov. 11, a VIPS general meeting will be held from 9:30 a.m. until noon at the Berry Center. The event is open to all CFISD volunteers, parents, staff and community members and will provide the latest information on CFISD volunteering.
On Dec. 7, a multicultural meeting will take place from 9:30 a.m. until noon at the Berry Center, to raise the level of cultural understanding and respect by sharing information with the CFISD community to encourage cultural sensitivity and parental involvement to strengthen student success.
