Tool distributor in Cy-Fair sues Chinese manufacturer
Owners of a tool distributing company are suing their supplier after the supplier allegedly knowingly and maliciously violated a business agreement.
Vanguard Machinery International filed suit in Harris County District Court on Oct. 12, stating that Shenyang Machine Tool, a manufacturing company based in China, failed to honor their agreement when it bypassed Vanguard to sell their products in the United States.
The agreement gave Vanguard exclusive rights to distribute all products manufactured by Shenyang.
In the suit, Vanguard alleges it suffered serious financial damages as a result of Shenyang's failure to honor their contract by selling their products to other distributors.
Vanguard is being represented by Houston attorney Jonathan Saikin. It is seeking an injunction against Shenyang's unethical business practices, compensatory damages, and attorney's fees.
