Volleyball: Wheatley tops Furr in five games
Cy-Fair defeated Cy-Lakes in District 17-5A volleyball action on Wednesday.
The Bobcats won the match in three games, 25-13, 25-15, and 25-13. The win pushes Cy-Fair record to 26-8 and 12 -2 in district games.
Senior Sarah Teel led the Bobcats with six kills. Emily Wright, a 5'8" junior, leads Cy-Fair with 182 kills for a 4.23 kill per game average.
The Bobcats will visit Cy-Ranch Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
With the loss, Cy-Lakes drops to 10-19 and 2-12 in district competition. Senior Alex Mattox had three kills for Cy-Lakes, as did 6' junior Davina Fatuni.
Fatuni leads the squad with 97 kills for a 2.94 kill per game average.
Cy-Lakes visits the Cy-Falls Golden Eagles Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
