Volleyball: Cy-Springs loses to Langham Creek in three games
Houston Langham Creek defeated Houston Cy-Springs in District 17-5A volleyball action on Wednesday.
The Lobos won the match in three games, 25-18, 25-17, and 25-16. With the victory, Langham Creek is now 13-22 overall and 6-7 in district play.
Brittney Anson, a junior, led the Lobos with nine kills. Freshman Erin Markey leads Langham Creek with 75 kills and a 3.41 kill per game average.
Langham Creek will host Cypress Woods, 36-1, 14-0, Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
The loss keeps Cy-Springs winless in district competition, 0-12. Emily Lutz led Langham Creek with four kills. Lutz is the team leader in kills with 53 on the season.
Cy-Springs, 1-22 on the year, will host Cy-Ridge Tuesday at 6:00p.m.
The Rams are 15-17 overall and 4-9 in district games.
