Bolden first in receiving in Texas State loss
Junior wide receiver Darrius Bolden, a 2008 Cy-Falls graduate, led the Texas State Bobcats receiving corps in its upset 49-24 loss to Southeastern Louisiana on Oct. 9.
Bolden had four catches for 62 yards and a TD in the loss. That gives him 216 yards on the season from 14 catches.
The junior industrial engineering major is the son of LaTerra Simpson.
Bolden was named to the All-District 17-5A First-Team as a senior. He had 63 receptions for 1,206 yards and 10 touchdowns for 9-3 Cypress Falls High School that season. He earned a spot on the All-Greater Houston First-Team, and the All-State 5-A Second-Team.
TSU takes on Northwestern State at home on Oct. 23. Game time is 3 p.m.
