Volleyball preview: Cy-Fair v. Cy-Ranch
Houston Cy-Fair visits Houston Cy-Ranch in District 17-5A volleyball action on Tuesday.
Cy-Fair won their last match in three games over Cypress Falls, 25-18, 25-20, and 25-18. The victory moved Cy-Fair to 27-8 overall and 13-2 in district games.
The Bobcats were led by 6’1’’ junior Kylie Schott, who recorded 10 kills in the match.
Emily Wright, a 5’8’’junior. Leads the squad with 182 kills and a 4.23 kill per game average.
Houston Cy-Ranch lost their last match to Cypress Creek in five games, 25-18, 16-25, 21-25, 25-17, and 15-17. The defeat dropped Cy-Ranch to 19-13 overall and 9-5 in district competition.
Chelsea Spurlock had a great match for Cy-Ranch. The 5’10’’ junior had 20 kills. Spurlock has 309 of the team’s 349 total kills. Tiffanie Martin, a 5’10’’ senior adds 21 kills to the Cy-Ranch ledger.
Tonight’s game is slated for 6:00 p.m.
