Jersey Village hosts Cy Springs Thursday
The Jersey Village Falcons (1-6) host the Cy Springs Panthers (1-6) Thursday in district football competition.
Cy Springs is riding the momentum of their first victory of the season last week 21-14 over Cy Ranch while Jersey Village allowed Cy Ridge 575 yards of offense suffering their third consecutive loss 49-25..
Cy Springs quarterback Afton Williams has combined for seven touchdowns and over 1,000 combined yards while also throwing six interceptions this season.
Running back Babatunde Leshi is averaging over nine-yards per carry for the Panthers. Leshi also leads Cy Springs with five touchdown runs and has compiled 557 rushing yards this season.
Markeith Clark and Xavier Johnson have combined for 281 receiving yards and each has a touchdown reception for the Panthers.
Jersey Village quarterbacks Devonte Barlow and Clay Magnuson split snaps for the Falcons. Barlow has passed for three scores and has 561 passing yards while also having thrown six interceptions this season. Magnuson has two touchdown passes and 303 passing yards while having also thrown three interceptions.
Falcons running back Victor Brown has four rushing touchdowns and has compiled 546 rushing yards while also having a touchdown reception.
Jersey Village receivers Justin Bouliane, Joshua Jarman, and Anthony Sanchez have combined for five touchdown receptions and over 450 receiving yards.
