Information sought in Houston shooting

Houston Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7500 Pinemont at about 12:35 a.m. today.

The male victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The HPD Homicide Division is reporting that residents heard gunshots at the Shadow Creek Apartments near building 10.  When they approached the area, they discovered a male lying on a walkway between apartment buildings.  Houston Fire Department personnel were called to the scene to administer first aid, but later pronounced the victim dead.
