Wife sues over husband's death
A Cy-Fair woman, on behalf of her deceased husbands estate, is suing after her husband died from injuries resulting from a car accident.
Dahlia Torres, on behalf of deceased husband Reuben Torres' estate, filed suit in Harris County District Court stating that Texas Sterling Construction and Sterling General failed to monitor its road construction for safety, in addition to neglecting to provide drivers proper signage and direction in construction zone areas. According to the suit, the road construction company's negligence caused the car accident that killed Torres.
In her suit, Torres alleges the willful and wanton acts of the construction company resulted in the car accident where her husband sustained serious and painful injuries that eventually killed him.
It was the responsibility of the construction company, she says, to properly construct safety structures and to properly train employers while building and fixing highways.
Torres is being represented by Houston attorney Luke Carrabba. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
