Ouachita Baptist Tigers find leadership from Langham Creek grad
Langham Creek High School 2009 grad Brett Reece led the Ouachita Baptist Tigers offense in its 24-23 overtime victory upsetting No. 10 ranked North Alabama on Saturday.
In overtime, North Alabama marched down the field, scoring first, making it a 23-17 game. The extra point was blocked by the Tigers, giving it the chance to answer back with a touchdown and take the win. On the Tigers' drive, senior quarterback Eli Cranor found Reece down the home sideline for a 25-yard touchdown strike that tied the game at 23-23. The extra point was good, sealing the victory.
Reece led the Tigers receiving corps with seven catches for 103 yards and two touchdowns on the day. He now leads the team with 582 receiving yards on 33 receptions. He has five touchdowns for the season.
Ouachita Baptist will battle Henderson State on Saturday, Oct. 30. Kick off is set for 1 p.m. CST.
