Cy-Fair grad a rising star on Rice defense
Cy-Fair High School 2007 grad Travis Bradshaw led the Rice defense in tackles in its 41-14 loss to UCF on Saturday in Orlando.
Bradshaw had nine tackles on the day. He also caused two turnovers, forcing one fumble and catching an interception in the game.
He is now second on the team in tackles for the season with 57, including 1.5 for loss. Bradshaw has also tallied one interception, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries on the season.
As a Cy-Fair High School senior, Bradshaw was a unanimous All-District 17-5A selection. He helped lead the Bobcats to the Region 3 finals that season, earning the teams defensive MVP honors. Bradshaw also earned First Team Academic All-State honors, graduating with a 6.9 GPA on a 6.0 scale.
Rice will take on the University of Tulsa on Saturday, Nov. 6, in Tulsa. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. CST.
