Cypress Falls grad completes basic infantry training
Army Pvt. Charles V. Weber has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia.
Weber, a 2007 graduate of Cypress Falls High School in Cypress, completed nine weeks of training, where he received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills, battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.
Weber is the son of Chuck Weber of Sunshine Park Drive in Cypress and grandson of Vernon Vankerrebroeck of South Mason in Sheffield, Illinois.
