From a Cy-Fair ISD press release:
Darynda Klein, an assistant principal at Hairgrove Elementary School, was named the new principal at Hairgrove for the 2010-2011 school year, replacing Lesa Cain.
Klein has spent 17 1/2 years in education, 11 of those within CFISD. She began by teaching in Beaumont ISD, Vidor ISD and Nederland ISD for her first 6 years before coming to CFISD as a teacher at Adam Elementary School. She also served as a teacher and reading specialist at Copeland Elementary School and an instructional specialist at Hairgrove before accepting her current position with Hairgrove in 2006-2007.
Klein received her Bachelor of Science in early childhood, special education and English as a Second Language (ESL) from Stephen F. Austin State University and her Master of Education in administration from Sam Houston State University.
"I am truly honored and excited to be named the new principal at Hairgrove Elementary, where I will get to continue to execute Game On-the system that Lesa Cain brought to Hairgrove and the system that the students, staff and community have grown to cherish," Klein said.
"Since I have been at Hairgrove the past five years, the students and staff are already my family, and I am so proud to continue to be a part of such a wonderful campus and community."
